Of all the top-level Xi Hu Long Jing teas offered on this site, this one has the most ’chestnut’ flavor that is usually more pronounced in lower grades. Like the other top choices, it has very good leaf appearance and a freshness in smell and flavor that just aren’t present in cheaper varieties. |

Très beaux bourgeons. Infusions aux aromes subtiles qui supporte trois eaux. |

The leaf sets are spectacular and the aroma is enchanting. The flavor is pleasant but not great. Even when I used an abundance of leaf and an extended steeping time I did not find the flavor to be full bodied enough for my personal liking. I quite like light and gentle teas, but the body of this one just seemed to have a little bit to be desired. |

A really stunning Long Jing. The leaf sets are amazing. The dry leaf is full of aroma, very nice. The brewed tea is outstanding and complex. My only "complaint" would be that I wish the lower grade like last year’s was also available. It would be nice to have both. |

A kind of generic green tea taste, but smooth with a nutty taste. Nothing too spectacular but certainly still a very good tea for a good price. |

It is simple, this is the best Long Jing I have had the pleasure of experiencing for several years...and a great value. I really like it. |

I think that also this is a very good Long Jing, not so inferior to the Xi Hu. |
Paolo (6/11/2006) |
The leaves are rather large and a beautiful bright green. As soon as I poured hot water over them, I was instantly aware of an incredible, sweet aroma that brought a smile to my face. The 1st infusion was dominated by this spicy, slightly floral blend of sweetness, followed by more vegetal infusions. This is a very aromatic tea that will absolutely thrill all Long Jing fans.

Not as refreshing as I was expecting. It is good for an afternoon cup of tea in the office |

The leaves are a beautifully bright green, very reminiscent in color to Gyokuro. It has a typical Dragon Well nutty scent, my only complaint being that the brew is possibly a little weak. Lovely light and refreshing taste and color. |

A green tea that is very light, very similar to white teas is some ways, but with an obvious green character. Very fresh! |
