Teaware (Others) For centuries, Chinese tea has been brewed in small Yixing teapots or in bowl-shaped cups called Gaiwan. Some tea connoisseurs reputedly use different pots for different types of tea as this is said to draw out the best flavor of the tea. Heighten your experience with these teaware.
The canister is a joy to handle: it is reassuringly heavy, and the overall look and feel is that of something special and expensive (which was important to me because I bought it as a gift). The Chinese characters on the side walls are very fine but the dragon-shaped handle is somewhat crude. The inner lid rattles a little, which is not what I would normally expect from an airtight seal; however, the two lids together seem to be doing the job quite well.
