Perfect & strong taste a very good tee for all the hours of the day. A perfect choice. |

I love this tea! often I find green tea too grassy or floral but this one has an exquisite, subtle blend of depth, delicacy, floral and the right touch of bitter. Lovely. |
Uzi (6/27/2016) |
I was expecting more from this tea. The leaves are large and twiggy. The flavor is weak. I will not order this one again. |
Jennifer A (9/23/2015) |
Very nice big leaves. Not much flavor in this tea though. Basically just tastes like hot water, especially after 2nd or 3rd steep. |
Joshua (3/4/2013) |
One of my favourite green teas, very refreshing. Will definitely purchase again |
Neil (2/26/2013) |
This Huang Shan Mao Feng tea is as good as it gets for this type of tea. The quality of the water is so very important for brewing this tea. |
dennis west (11/18/2012) |
One of my new favoutite teas. Great taste and aroma! |
Neil (10/1/2012) |
A strong enough bitter taste with sweetness after, very fresh, love it ! |
Tuyet Hong (7/23/2012) |
Special! This is what I think when I drink this wonderful classic green tea! |
manuel (7/15/2012) |
I found this tea very weak at the begginning following the brewing instructions provided.
But I found that this 2.011 harvest is like a white tea more than a green one.
So I brew it with boling water for three minutes and I like quite a lot the result (no bitterness at all)
Also you need a good volum of tea for good results.
The tea is dense and subtle, but good |
Oscar (10/26/2011) |
Maybe the best Huang Shan Mao Feng that I ever drink. Up to 3 tremendous infusion. Great! |
manuel (9/7/2011) |
Although a good green, I was not as impressed with this Mao Feng as I have been with others. It´s a bit pricey. Probably will not order again. |
Jennifer A (6/29/2011) |
The 2001 crop was not as good as expected perhaps the weather was not so good. I experimented with different brewing temperatures but it never improved it. |

I am new to this real tea thing, but I must say I am enjoying this Green Tea. It has a nice flavor and is very smooth. |
Glenn (2/2/2011) |
this one has a lighter flavor, not my favorite, but not bad |
Gabriel (12/19/2010) |
I have ordered this tea several different times and it is consistently good. |
dennis west (12/19/2010) |
Very mild delicate tea, good flavour. Reminds me a little of lu an gua pian . Although not quite as floral and multi-faceted.
Nice green though no complaints, it is a delicate green though. |
Dorian (12/16/2010) |
I tried several of your green teas and this one is my favorite. It has a nice mouth-feel and aromatic enough to appreciate. I would definitely recommend. |
Jim (8/10/2010) |
Although good taste, it´s much lighter that I would like or have enjoyed compared to previous year. |
Chang (8/9/2010) |
excellent green tea at a good price. light taste and pleasant aroma. slight sweet aftertaste |
Cory (7/26/2010) |
Excellent product. Great scent and strong flavor. |
joshua (11/11/2009) |
Very good tea, I suggest a little long brew to obtain the best from Huang Shan |
manuel (10/9/2009) |
A great alternative to the Guo Bin Mao Feng, I like it for the nutty undertones. |
David (10/4/2009) |
A wonderful tea with strong floral smell. It tastes very very refreshing and sweet. Definitely a top tea from teaspring. |
Fan (7/14/2009) |
Good; very delicate fragrance; a bit like freshly mown meadows |
Benoît (7/6/2009) |
Bought two of this tea, one from the 08 harvest and one from the 09. The 08 gave more of an impression than the 09. |

Great tasting green tea! Wonderful subtle floral orchid fragrance before and after the first drops hit the dry leaves in the gaiwan. The first minute infusion is refreshing and very sweet. The second minute infusion rounds out and mellows. Subsequent 3rd and 4th infusions are satisfying too. Overall this HSMF is a very sweet and fragrant green tea. The fragrance, which is unusual for green teas, is very understated. I received the tea in the anti-fake package, so I was assured that I was receiving the real McCoy! |
Kei (5/12/2009) |
Used to try the Cha Wang edition. Obviously this one is much cheaper but I feel better to pay the extra money for the quality. Overall satisfactory only. |
Chang (5/4/2009) |
Very nice green tea, I return to it for everyday tea. Ordered it after trying the premium Cha Weng ´08 - the difference is noticeable compared to the premium tea - slightly dustier, not as fragrant and I use a bit more when brewing. Still nice overall. |
Mark (4/4/2009) |
Pale golden liquor with flavor to match. Sensitive to brewing temperature and doesn´t reveal its charms readily; the subtle sweetness of the aftertaste is the best part of the experience in my view. But oh, what a beautiful plucking! |
David (11/13/2008) |
It a light sweet tea. I recommend this to people who like light tea. |
Beady (11/5/2008) |
I drink this tea daily because of its strong flavor. The leaves were a darkish green and the smell has sweet and earthy tones. |
joshua (8/6/2008) |
This is indeed one of the top five Chinese teas; maybe the third best of the green. It´s a bit like a lighter version of Long Jing, but it has its own tasteful finish, very sweet and with a floral hint. I recommend trying it! |
Oskar (5/31/2008) |
It took me a while to appreciate this one, but now it is one of my favorite teas. It has a really nice subtle sweet floral taste. |
Daniel (4/10/2008) |
Quite a nice tea. Fairly sweet, but not quite as sweet as Dragon Well or Bi Lo Chun. |
Eugene (3/16/2008) |
Ottimo tè verde. Grande nome bella consistenza delle foglie e buono gusto, che si ricorda a lungo sulla lingua e nel palato |
Andrea (3/12/2008) |
This tea uses too many leafes, and even when you use a lot it still remains anonymous. With this in mind, the price is simply too high... |
Erik (2/22/2008) |
I like this tea, it tastes different.
I have been thinking of getting another package as a gift to my friend. |
Djon (12/30/2007) |
This is my first experience with Mao Feng. I can see why it is China’s most famous teas. It has a very nice fresh taste with a slight flowery sweet chestnut after taste. My infusions were pretty weak, I shall try using slightly more leaves |
Jason (11/20/2007) |
Not something I’d drink everyday but good nonetheless. This is my first Mao Feng so i have nothing to compare it too. I found this enjoyable if enough leaf is used. |
JT (11/19/2007) |
a very ’common’ green tea. Not very good. Not very bad. |
Christian (11/12/2007) |
Great aroma... nice mildly sweet taste. wish there was a bit more to it, it is close to being one of my favorites, it just needs more something... i am going to mess with infusion times/temps to see if i can bring more out of it |
John (10/9/2007) |
I really enjoy this tea and get several good infusions, each one excellent! I can see why this is one of China’s top 10. |
David (10/6/2007) |
Fresh, delicate, not astringant and subtle. A wonderful tea that makes you want another cup. An excellent tea and a good value. |
Stephen (9/12/2007) |
This tea deserves 6 stars. I infused the tea at 175 degrees F., resulting clear light green tea. Each sip has an amasing sweetness and is most refreshing. On chewing the buds after the third infusion I was astonded as to the sweetness left on the tongue.
This tea should not be missed |
Rod (8/28/2007) |
huang shan mao feng tea is very good tea i realy like smell and taseit very nice i will bye it again |
fat (8/24/2007) |
Great; tastes like most high-quality Mao Fengs I’ve tried, with nice leaf appearance and a very pungent aroma and taste. Can’t wait to try the Cha Wang variety. |
Elliot (3/25/2007) |
A nice mellow green tea. As long as enough leaf is used, this is a very enjoyable tea. Best for quiet moments without distractions so it can be best appreciated. |
Chip (3/23/2007) |
Delicate but pronounced flavor to this lovely tea. |
Jennifer (1/4/2007) |
Good. |
FRANCO (12/12/2006) |
i was surprised. didn’t expect this good |
Michael (10/31/2006) |
A superb tea. In the past, I’ve sometimes found Huang Shan Mao Feng a bit temperamental in the brewing, but this tea really opened up from the first. Wonderful aroma, floral and complex, and the equally complex taste lingers long in the mouth. Very refreshing, and good for a few infusions, too. I will definitely be ordering more. |
William David (8/25/2006) |
This tea is so fresh from the Spring 2006 harvest that just the sight of it and scent of the leaves is rewarding. As for most new teas the aroma color and taste is light and it seems like it could use just a bit more of each. |
John (5/22/2006) |
On my 3rd attempt, after increasing the amount of leaves used each time, I was finally able to unlock the mysteries of this famous tea. I go by tea weight, not volume, and ended up using about 50% more leaf by weight than with most green teas. Having done that, I noticed a lovely floral scent as the first infusion was brewing...but it was fleeting. What this tea lacks in power, it makes up for in endurance, offering a nice, mildly sweet elixer that refuses to offend, infusion after infusion. |
Chip (5/15/2006) |
I really enjoy this tea. It is on the light side and very smooth with a hint of nut. It simply exudes quality. |
Ryan (5/2/2006) |
I finished the second order in no time. Is is fortunate for me that some people are not familiar with this tea, so it is still possible to purchase such good tea. |
Chung (4/24/2006) |
I finish this tea in no time. So far this is the best Huang Shan Mao Feng. I am demanding and dreaming to purchase the best grage of the Huang Shan Mao Feng. |
Chung (2/18/2006) |
Very smooth taste, like others have stated it has a "nutty" taste to it, very nice. |
Joe (2/7/2006) |
Very good tea. A little bit bitter. |
Greg (1/24/2006) |
Excellent |
GIOVANNI (12/26/2005) |
I was impressed with this tea, it showed everything you can expect from a green tea. Great! |
Alexander (10/8/2005) |
This is a very good tea. This tea is light but at the same time the flavor is one of clearity and is unique. A lovely tea. |
Ryan (9/8/2005) |
The very first thing that strikes me is the aroma which is very different to all of the other teas I have tried, and quite difficult to describe but I will try: The first time I ever inhaled the aroma, I was reminded of walking through a forest after the rainfall -unusual but very pleasing! The taste is a mixture of sweet, floral, nutty, and woody with a pleasant aftertaste. I find this the most complex of green teas to describe in terms of taste and aroma. Delicious! |
