Good green tea if you don´t want to spend a lot of money on the best

    Jizdan (12/9/2023)

Excellent tea to consume all day long, very good taste!

    Jizdan (11/5/2023)

Very good green tea if you don´t want to spend a lot of money on the best. It is very fresh and slightly a little more delicate. Highly recommend.

    Jizdan (9/9/2023)

I have been ordering this tea for a couple of years now and absolutely love it. The tea is very smooth in taste which I prefer. I absolutely recommend it.

    Anita (10/29/2017)

Perfect & strong taste a very good tee for all the hours of the day. A perfect choice.

    George (9/26/2016)

This spring tea was one of the best teas, which I have tasted in many years. It was excellent in every way. The quality was the best. Although this is a rather inexpensive tea, nevertheless it is equal or better than the more expensive teas.

    dennis west (6/27/2016)

This is one of my favourite teas. It´s got a deep, ´orchid´ flavour in the first few infusions; later you get a very light, almost fruity touch that leaves a very fresh feeling in your mouth. I don´t like nutty or smokey flavours, and this year harvest have no traces of it. Highly recommended.

    Andrea (5/21/2016)

The taste has a very refreshing, sweet taste, similar to what you might find in a dragonwell but with a slightly less nutty taste.

Very good green tea if you don´t want to spend a lot of money on the best. It is very fresh and slightly a little more delicate. Highly recommend.

This year´s tea has a slightly nutty flavor, a typical teaspring quality tea. A little bit different than last year´s jiu hua fo cha. This time the tea kind of loosens up the circulation in the head. I am going to order again!

    Ronald (6/10/2014)

excellent green tea without bitterness. no vegetable taste ..

    Christian (5/8/2014)

This tea really does calm the mind and heart like the locals in jiu hua mountain say, in the teaspring description. Maybe the mountain tea and farmers does the trick. It is a good tea to buy.

    Ronald (4/13/2014)

This ´buddhist´ tea is a real steal at the price. Very good -- not my favorite -- but a wonderful upgrade on most everyday teas.

    Shehzad (3/1/2014)

I really liked this tea in previous years but this year at this time of writing.. I do no tknow what happened with it... but really I do not like it.

    Ionut (1/6/2014)

This tea is an okay tea but nothing to get excited about. The price was fitting to the taste.

    dennis west (9/29/2013)

Great tea at a really nice price! Refreshing and tasteful!

    Martin (9/4/2013)

Excellent tea, very refreshing and one of my favourite to drink.

Lovely mild orchid fragrance (unusual for most green teas) and a sweet aftertaste. No harsh edges at all. It is a light to medium green tea. A good everyday green tea. The leaves are very green and look much better than the website pictures. Very satisfied with the order. It was packed and shipped quickly. Highly recommended.

    Kei (7/23/2013)

Excellent tea to consume all day long, very good taste!

Nice discovery I made recently. I recommend this tea!

    Martin (3/27/2013)

There were not many tea leaves in this order. It was mostly consisted of stems and other materials which were not tea leaves.

    dennis west (2/4/2013)

Even though I got the 2011 crop, it was really really nice. Surprisingly nice actually, one of the most floral and sweet green teas I´ve ever had. Highly recommended and very good value!

    Matthew (1/20/2013)

I really like this tea, nice delicate flavour Kat, Ireland

    Kathleen (4/12/2012)

I love this tea, I usually have it in the afternoon after lunch.

    Nancy (4/3/2012)

    Really a good tea. Sweet aroma ! 3g per 200ml is a must !

    Ionut (1/28/2012)

I got this tea because i´m a Buddhist. I´m not sure if it´s ´enlightening´ but it´s very delicious. Has a slight ´honey-dew´ taste to it. It grew on me. Now I just can´t get enough.

    Michael (12/7/2011)

If you get this tea, you won´t be disappointed. I personally found it a little different at first, not my cup of tea, but it slowly grew on me and now I can´t get enough of it.

    Michael (12/7/2011)

During brewing the leaves immediately sink to the bottom of the cup which is usually an indication that it is an old crop of tea which has not been stored properly. As the harvest period was the Spring of 2011, this must just be characteristic of this tea. I have tasted better tea from An Hui Province, so this is just a mediocre tea.

    dennis west (11/4/2011)

Very good tea, for the price at least. Sweet green taste with a hint of flower.

    Oskar (10/5/2011)

Very enjoyable and aromatic one! The aroma of a tea before brewing is very gentle and velvety, the taste is one of my favorites!

    Darja (9/30/2011)

I thought this tea was ok. Not too bad for the price. It was beautiful to look at and had an interesting aroma of vegetation, the sea and puffed rice. Pale green color. Round mouth feel that fades rather quickly to a mild astringency. Maybe a bit of oiliness/dankness that was off putting if over brewed. Definitely needs some attention during the brewing. Didn´t work well grandpa style. Not much flavor after 2nd brew, which is disappointing. Not my favorite of the teas I ordered.

    Jon (7/20/2011)

This 2011 spring tea was a very good tea. The temperature for brewing needs to be around 175 F which is a little warmer than usual, but with this higher temperature it is still good.

    dennis west (5/29/2011)

This tea is good and I plan to order more and do hope that future orders will be of the same quality.

    dennis west (12/19/2010)

This tea has a delicate sweet flavor, as well as being a solid tea.

    Ronald (10/24/2010)

Strong and nice, but, acutally, nothing really special. Worth buying for common, everyday drinking.

    Paweł (9/6/2010)

I very much enjoy this tea. When I first opened the bag I ordered I was greeted with a fresh and grassy smell that reminded me of spring. The leaves are easy to steep as I can dump them into the hot water and they immediately sink (some green and white teas are very insistent on floating on the surface of the water when dumped in). The taste was very fresh and very slightly astringent. The liquor tasted of fresh greens (kind of like spinach or arugula) and it had a soft honey like aftertaste that filled my mouth. A very fine green tea!

    Trevor (9/6/2010)

A great tea with good price. Strong orchid aroma and very sweet aftertaste. Although tea leaves don´t look good, it´s still a decent tea for everyday drink.

    Fan (6/15/2010)

very good nice vegital quality good for seafood and salads. Has a nice sweetness that is felt in the back of the throat much like a mao feng

    david (12/3/2009)

Really, really liked this tea. Not too strong, but a definite green tea flavor.

    Mitchell (11/22/2009)

This Buddhist Tea has grit! A strong, lasting vegetal flavor - a good daily drinker.

    Mark (11/4/2009)

Decent tea, nothing out of the ordinary, it was light bodied sweet with some floral notes.

    Daniel (10/26/2009)

This JHFC is probably one of the wonderful secret bargains at Teaspring. The tea is sweet, fresh, refreshing, grassy, vegetal with a substantial lovely orchid-like fragrance. Although the leaves are rough and broken and probably a lower grade of "mao feng" or "bird´s tongue" leaves, the leaves are still extremely green and fresh. Perhaps this JHFC is sort of a "rustic" green tea that exhibits all the qualities of good country wild green tea. Although it may not have the nuanced unusual notes of higher grades of green teas, nevertheless the resulting brew is full and extremely satisfying. Great product! Highly recommended!!!

    Kei (9/14/2009)

What can I say? I try different water, different amount of leaves, different times of brew but I never like the result.

    manuel (7/28/2009)

Lovely tea with a very nice aroma and pleasent aftertaste.

    Thomas (7/14/2009)

I agree with the others who say this tea is balanced. that is the perfect word for it. It has all the qualities I expect of a green. I am not exact in my brewing technique, but my temp choice and brewing times fit this tea perfectly.

    John (7/10/2009)

Just had my first gaiwan of the Fo Cha and I am extremely pleased with my first order from Teaspring. The aroma is absolutely amazing, the tea is obviously very fresh. The flavor is subtle but definitely "there" with a very surprisingly sweet aftertaste that lingers on the tongue. Very good tea and well worth the price!

    Ian (5/20/2009)

A really good green tea - needs quite a pinch to brew well but when it does it´s excellent

    Alfred (5/5/2009)

I am delighted with delicious tea, and with all the teas I ordered. I highly recommend TeaSpring for anyone who would like to purchase tea from mainland China. The teas arrived in very lovely packaging, which were clearly marked by product in both English and Chinese---delightful!!! I ordered two of many of the teas to give as a birthday gift to my brother who has been drinking Chinese tea for 30 years. He is very happy with the gifts.

    Linda (4/20/2009)

Maybe the legend is true. This tea stays to the middle path, neither this nor that, and both. The flavor is calmingly balanced, gentle, but not weak.

    Rolf (12/17/2008)

Sturdy but not aggressive; a nice cup for a chilly evening.

    David (12/4/2008)

Very good, strong qi and pleasantly refreshing and energetic.

    vincenzo (11/17/2008)

crisp and clean to the taste a good tea the leaves are bright green and the smell is great and leaves your mouth feeling clean not bitter.

    Robert (10/19/2008)

A wonderful tea. It has high floral aroma and strong sweet aftertaste, although the leaves don´t look so good. It is a very good everyday tea.

    Fan (9/18/2008)

I really liked this tea once I started weighing the amount of leaves that I used. Measures by volume (i.e, teaspoons) just didn´t do it. With 4 g of leaves per 8 oz cup I found a truly superb green tea, with a sweet aroma and refined, interesting taste. Lower grade green teas taste bawdy and crude in comparison. I just wish I hadn´t wasted so much tea early on trying to brew without enough leaves.

    Christopher (5/23/2008)

    tea was okay. .

    Christian (5/11/2008)

Merita l´acquisto come molti dei prodotti offerti da TeaSpring.com Buono il gusto e di facile utilizzo anche in Gaiwan

    Andrea (3/12/2008)

I agree with Armandas. A wonderful tea which rewards patience and improves as one becomes more familiar with it.

    Gary (11/22/2007)

At first glance - average tea. But... If you are prepared to interact with this tea, it will open it’s deepness and uplift your spirit, clearing your thoughts.

    Armandas (9/11/2007)

A very good tea...excellent taste, and very good in quality/price factor.

    manuel (7/20/2007)

A very nice mellow taste, very subtle but complex quality to it. I will try using more leaves for a slightly stronger taste

    Jason (7/7/2007)

great tea nice soft aroma the leaves are very nice taste was second to none wonder what replace it would like more

    william (4/4/2007)

This slightly floral Chinese green tea has short, slender leaves, and takes up a lot of space (unlike, say, Oolongs which are compact but expand in water). Delicate and pleasant, but rather too faint.

    David (4/1/2007)

Wonderful rich green tea leaves with a "buttery" fragrance. I would have rated excellent, but found that I needed to use more leaves than I am used to for a flavorful cup. Using 4-5 grams, I find that the leaves yield a deeply satisfying brew. Highly recommended.

    Richard (3/26/2007)

    A very nice flavor.

    Ryan (3/18/2007)

I question whether I even recieved the same tea as is pictured. The leaves look totally different than those in the picture. The leaves are a mix of about 4 or 5 different colors and the smell is unpleasant. I will probobly never buy from this website again.

    Our response:
All our product images are photo shots of the actual products. Our follow up with Mr. Silas confirmed that while he did not like this tea, he agreed that the review had been overly harsh. A close up shot of the tea leaves have been uploaded (click View more photos link)
