    DescriptionRating & ReviewBrewing GuideRecommendations
Jun Shan Qing Zhen is the sister of Jun Shan Yin Zhen (a rare Yellow tea and one of China's Famous Ten). Their appearance and characteristics are very similar and many unscrupulous merchants sell this tea as their more expensive counterpart. In its own, Jun Shan Qing Zhen is a wonderful green tea. Made up of silvery green unopened buds, this tea is just as beautiful and is produced mainly to meet the increasing demands for Green teas. Jun Shan Yin Zhen lovers should give this a try.

To ensure its authenticity, a number code is included with each bag of Jun Shan Qing Zhen. This code is provided by Jun Shan Tea Co Ltd, the company who now owns all the tea harvest from Jun Shan Island. The code can be verified at their website - http://www.yinzhentea.com.cn/cx.asp.

    Other names:
    Mount Jun Green Needle

    Taste:
Just like Jun Shan Yin Zhen, the fragrance has a smoky character that comes from charcoal firing. Yet, the taste is clean, mellow and refreshing with a hint of sweetness. Good for multiple infusions and we feel the taste is at its best in the third infusion.

    Appearance:
Elegant silvery green tea buds. When steeped, the tea buds stand upright like a forest of stalagmites in the cup, creating a beautiful visual presentation.

    Origin:
    Jun Shan, Hunan Province

    Harvest Period:
    Spring 2010 (Ming Qian Cha)
