At first I thought it tasted much too floral, however, this tea has grown on me. My mother enjoys alternating it with the Dong Ding Oolong. |

This tea is too floral for my taste. It almost tastes as though itīs been infused with a floral additive! |
Uzi (8/7/2020) |
Wonderful aroma, smooth taste with a hint of sweetness. I will definitely order more. Shipping took just under two weeks halfway across the world which I think is pretty good. |
Halla (5/24/2018) |
Very good quality tea. I can drink all day. My order came on time, nice package. I recommend everyone. Thank you very much. |
Galina (2/6/2017) |
The shipment came early and in tact. The tea itself is wonderful, with the sweet, soothing flavor that lasts through the second steep. Iīm very satisfied with this tea. Highly recommend! |
Ha (5/26/2016) |
This tea had wonderful aromatics that are typically associated with milky oolongs, so I enjoyed the "milky" aspect, but was disappointed by the tea itself-it was not very smooth, as others have said it was a little pungent (to me-see preferences below).
[For reference my tea preferences lie within green/oolong teas, and lighter Oolongs are current favorite (2-3x/daily). I tend to avoid astringent and bitter teas and enjoy floral and vegetal notes] |
Maggie (4/7/2016) |
I found the taste too pungent, I took a few sips, but couldnīt finish the cup. Iīm afraid Iīll never drink it again. |
Roswitha (2/25/2016) |
Very nice oolong albeit not among the very best I have tasted |
Joao (12/1/2015) |
I love the richness and milk caramel notes. The tea leaves are good for give steepings |
Blake (12/1/2014) |
A flavor of Norwegian brown cheese or boiled sweet milk. |
Thomas (8/20/2014) |
Nai Xiang has a wonderful, unique taste. The leaves hold a lot of flavor, and only a few are needed to produce a soothing cup. |
James (6/1/2014) |
Классический молочный улун. |
Alena (5/13/2014) |
This is a great tea. It is the first high quality oolong that I have ever had. |
Blake (4/16/2014) |
Tea with gentle taste and aroma of fresh cream doesnīt leave you indifferent! |
Elena (3/31/2014) |
Absolutely amazing oolong, I cannot recommend it enough. It has a creamy scent and taste that is unbelievable, and for the price this is an absolute steal. You will definitely not regret purchasing this. |

High tea quality, however it is too sweet to me.
Do recommend to order small amount first. |

Прекрасный молочный улун - вкус очень гармоничный, нежный. |
Alena (10/31/2013) |
Молочный улун, очень неплохой. Аромат приятный. |
Svetlana (10/3/2013) |
As always I must recommend this tea above all! The milkiness is THE best i ever found! |
Tim (10/1/2013) |
By far the most excellent oolong tea! The milkiness is just a treat! |
Tim (9/19/2013) |
The fragrance resembles milk, but also has some subtle floral notes. The aroma is lovely and the taste is smooth. The leaves can be infused many times. With repeated infusions, the fragrance diminishes, but the taste is still strong. It is a high quality lightly oxidized green-type oolong. Glad I ordered it. Highly recommended. |
Kei (8/2/2013) |
Definitely, my favorite tea. I love the way it smells and tastes!! |
Anna (6/26/2013) |
A real treat. The milkiness is something not to be missed. Different and very pleasant! |
Tim (6/11/2013) |
Очень легкий, вкус сладковатый молочный. |
Alena (2/21/2013) |
Nice nutty aroma and taste. Would definitely purchase again. |
William (2/19/2013) |
Other than the long shipping time (considering Iīm not too far away), the teaīs pretty great. |
L.L (11/16/2012) |
Wonderful, as milk oolong always is, and this was the strongest and tastiest milk oolong I have ever tried. Highly recommended. 2012 crop. |

This is one of my favorite.Very special flavor.I want to order some more. Thank You Teaspring!!! |
Slava ZM (8/21/2012) |
Great sweetness and "typical" milk oolong notes, but coupled with a darker, heavier note that makes this rich and full-flavored. |
Amanda (8/3/2012) |
A very floral Oolong. You instantly smell it as soon as you open the packaging. Reminds me of a creamy aftertaste. Overall an excellent oolong. |

This is a unique oolong tea, with strong milky fragrant. not like it very much, but still unique tea. Everyone have to try it. |
Susany (2/26/2012) |
Прошло полгода с момента первого заказа и я вновь заказала этот чай. На этот раз он меня сильно удивил - выдержал порядка 5-6 вливаний! Приятный вкус и аромат, который хочется постоянно вдыхать, спасибо! Thank you! |
Olga (2/23/2012) |
This is a superb tea! I have been looking for this tea since a visit to Beijing last year. It is simply one of the best! This is my favorite Oolong. I live in the USA. Don Gravelyn |
Donald (2/16/2012) |
Поставила бы пять звезд, если б чай выдерживал более одного вливания. Но, к сожалению, второе вливание - и вкуса уже нет. Хотя первое заваривание приносит удовольствие, хороший вкус. |
Olga (12/11/2011) |
Excellent tea! This is one of my favorite.Very special flavor.Thank You Teaspring!

Slava ZM (8/19/2011) |
An excellent, light oolong. Iīve ordered this one multiple times and have always been impressed. Looking forward to trying the latest, spring 2011. |
James (7/10/2011) |
This oolong is real favourite. Itīs milky-creamy fragrance and sweet aftertaste makes it relaxing companion after a busy day.
It is also an excellent starter, for gongfu tea beginners.
|
Laszlo (6/2/2011) |
The tea was very milky and smooth with a comfortable flavor. It was fresh and aromatic. I will definitely order again! |
George (5/6/2011) |
I live in Russia. It was some time before my order arrived before me, but to get it was very nice.
Tea of exceptional quality, fresh and delicious.
I would like to receive future request in a more robust package, because it is crumbling in my hands.
And, thanks to the company for precise work! |
Irina (4/21/2011) |
Очень приятный чай, приятное послевкусие, обязательно закажу ещё... |
Andrey (4/11/2011) |
If you buy Milky Oolong in Russia it wiil have really strong sweet aroma. But this one has very light aroma. So the question is
What is more "right" Milky OOlong?
I think this one.Maybe russians are adding some chemical aromatisator,-I really donīt know. |
Pavel (3/9/2011) |
Excellent tea, nice and special flavor. This is one of my favorite teas. |
Adrian (1/27/2011) |
Iīve been drinking this tea regularly (every day or two) for a few months. When the leaves are good and itīs brewed right, this Nai Xiang can really be a wonderful tea. |
James (1/18/2011) |
Doesnīt have the same unique aroma it had when I bought it before. There doesnīt bring the same joy while drinking. Taste is still good though. |
Thomas (1/7/2011) |
my father enjoys this TGY alike, for fans of TGY this ill be pleasing. |
Dorian (1/4/2011) |
I was disappointed, but overall itīs still a nice everyday oolong with a unique "Condensed-milk" taste/scent. If you really want to try it, buy a small amount before committing. |
Piradej (1/1/2011) |
very disapointed
tea is not a nai xiang oolong
i do not know why you made a mistake
there no nai fermentation
i know this tea ,and i used to buy it before |
Alex (12/30/2010) |
After ordering this oolong once, I had to come back for more. Itīs quite good: next to Dong Ding, probably my favorite of the lower-oxidation oolongs. The aroma is sublime. |
James (12/13/2010) |
One of my favorite teas. Highly recommend! I will order it! |
Anton (11/28/2010) |
My first time trying this oolong. Of the many varieties that Iīve sampled, this Nai Xiang boasts one of the most unique aromas Iīve encountered. The flavor is good, but doesnīt match the aroma. |
James (11/17/2010) |
A quite nice light oolong, with an unusual note of milk to it. |
Terje (11/17/2010) |
Unbelievable good, excellent flavor, this is a tea that has become one of my favorite, only after few cups. |
Adrian (10/22/2010) |
Love this tea!!!!! Sooo tasty milky flavor!!!!!!! Great to drink all day long!!!!!!! |
Anna (9/10/2010) |
Unbelievable good, excellent flavor, this is a tea that has become one of my favorite, only after few cups. |
Adrian (8/30/2010) |
Great smell and great leaves... however, the "milky" aroma was not as strong as expected after the stepping! It is strong and great when you put you nose into the tea jar with the dry leaves, but not so strong during the actual drinking. Still, the tea is great in terms of price/value! |
Konstantin (7/30/2010) |
....again and again enjoying this tea!!!!! one of my favourites!!!!!!! |
Anna (5/21/2010) |
Great flavor. This tea is one of my favorite teas. |
Anton (5/5/2010) |
Awesome milky smell and long-lasting pleasant aftertaste!!!! great for multiple infusion. |
Anna (3/4/2010) |
This is a very nice tea with a unique flavor, quite enjoyable by itself. If you want to try something really special, try blending it with Jasmine Pearls. Everyone that I have shared it with has loved it. |
Chris (11/13/2009) |
Iīm not a big tea expert. My girlfriend just begins involve me into teas but I like this one. If you novice and donīt know which tea will be good for you, think you will definitly enjoy Nai Xiang Oolong. |
Alexey (11/3/2009) |
So what is this tea? Itīs a lightly oxidized oolong with an unusual added flavoring. The flavoring smells and tastes a lot like butter. I quite like this flavor, which is full and satisfying. The underlying oolong is undistinguished to my taste, but itīs the flavoring that gives the tea its unique character. Definitely worth a try if youīve never had it. |
Jeff (7/28/2009) |
Nai Xiang Oolong, you love it or you hate it. I LOVE it, canīt get enough. |
Thomas (7/14/2009) |
Wonderful tea. Second steep was the best. Smooth flavor |
Trent (6/6/2009) |
I admit that one could not like its buttery taste, but I did. It last for at least 4-5 steepings. Not every day tea. Excellent for a price. |
Milan (11/5/2008) |
The dry tea itself smells really incredible, almost like buttered popcorn but sweet. When I opened the bag I was really surprised by the intense scent.
The first brew also has a buttery sweet taste. The scent still reminds me of popcorn or something else buttery and familiar, lingers on the tongue. Kind of confusing to drink something that smells like food, but also enjoyable.
The second brew is still fragrant, the leaves are really nice and the taste has mellowed. I would order it again for novelty and sharing but probably not an every day tea for me. Might be fun to add to miso soup or other foods. |
Zenobie (11/4/2008) |
Very intense flavor, taste more like norwegian brown cheese than milk.
|
Thomas (10/25/2008) |
This one Iīve ordered for my friend and he is very happy now drinking it, enjoyes a lot. As for me - aroma is too intensive, and a little bit flat I prefer something more subtle. |
Olga (9/10/2008) |
The fragrance is extraordinary, reminding me of the scent emanated from the little infant. The taste is enduring. It is definitely worth trying and enjoying. |
Joan (7/24/2008) |
Wow! This was my first experience with a milk oolong and I couldnīt believe the scent or the flavor of this great tea. The smell and taste are equally wonderful and are distinctly malted milk-like. The color is a very bright neon green. Emphasis on the neon. The second infusion tends to be better than the first. Iīve gotten 3 infusions, but the third is frequently on the weak side for my tastes. This is a highly unique tea and one that should definitely be tried, if not bought in quantity. |
Christopher (5/19/2008) |
A family favorite.. A crowd pleaser.. Everyone loves the nai xiang. I will probably keep coming back for this one. Itīs not the most "delicate" tea and I havenīt actually tried it gong-fu yet, but the first couple of steeps are always delicious. |
Dave (5/12/2008) |
I tried this for the first time and it was just ok for me. Nothing special. |
Joseph (5/4/2008) |
Simply the best milk oolong in my life )
It has such a rich milky taste that afterwards you feel like you drank a cup of fresh milk ) |
vyacheslav (4/28/2008) |
Not the best Nai Xiang, but you canīt expect this for the price. Fine and typical milky taste. Not good for gong fu. Good deal for the money. |
Joachim (4/20/2008) |
My favourite tea! I love the buttery aroma and the denseness of the leaf. A little goes a long way. |
Eveanne (2/19/2008) |
Our second shipment of this tea. This time we got 200g, because we brewed some for a friend and she demanded that we get more for her! :) This is still my wifes everyday tea. Delicious stuff. |
Dave (2/18/2008) |
I ordered this on the basis of both the product description and customer reviews (I love that TeaSpring offers 25 g bags so that I need not shell out an arm and a leg to determine if a product is to my liking). I wasnt disappointed! The only reason I rated this "good" is because the dry leaves smell like sour milk. However, they smell fine while dry-warming in a heated gaiwan and the resulting brew is very interesting. This is more or less an ersatz jin xuan, which, predictably, tastes much finer than this. However, this is priced at about one-third the cost of a similar amount of jin xuan, and is a good, everyday alternative. Definitely recommended for those seeking something unusual. |
Karen (2/9/2008) |
My wife loves this tea. I do too -- really nice creaminess without being too sweet or milky. Im more into the Dong Ding oolong, but for the price, this Nai Xiang is awesome, and we drink it every day. |
Dave (2/8/2008) |
Completely unexpected, Ive never had a "milky tea" before but honestly it smells like butter. This new flavor grows on you very fast |
Alex (1/25/2008) |
This is a very interesting tea. I cannot think of what kind of preparation process would let the tea to hold so much milky flavor in it, without adding... well, any milk. :) My whole family absolutely loves this tea!! And just like the Dong Ding Oolong, using just a few drops of the rolled leaves, after just two infusion, it would fill up your entire Gai Wan and lasts a very long time. Great quality in every aspect! |
Melody (1/11/2008) |
perfect tea you fill tast 2 story up need more then 200 grams |
Alex (1/3/2008) |
Very nice oolong tea with a silky, fruity, buttery taste. Leaves a sweet sensation lingering on the tip of your tongue... |

i am very happy

thank you |
Alex (11/2/2007) |
Delightful!
A second order for me; although this batch seems sturdier in holding the rich, sweet aroma and flavour of warmed milk.
The scent and taste are comforting and the flavour holds up through multiple infusions.
Some consider this a "take or leave it" tea since the milky tones are so prominent. I like it! |
Jeanna (Shen) (10/2/2007) |
Love this stuff!
Its an odd choice considering that the sweet overtones in actual milk are surely not that appealing to me. But the milky flavour in this particular tea is delicate and enduring, never fading into insipidity with multiple infusions. It has refreshing sweetness with a complexity that holds up well.
Ive tried other Nai Xiangs from Taiwan through American vendors that either lost their flavours all together with a couple of soakings or just became sickeningly sweet or grassy.
This tea is quite lovely!
