Song Luo, a tea long revered for its medicinal values and for what is known as its "3 Great" - great taste, great color and great fragrance. This remarkable tea was one of China’s early famous tea and was then described as "Precious Green Gold". It was also recorded in the famous Chinese medicine book "Ben Cao Gang Mu" (Materia Medica) which was authored by one of China’s greatest herbalists that ever lived, Li Shi Zhen (1518-1593). Our Song Luo Nen Hao (i.e. "Tender Pekoe"), is an organic and a higher grade Song Luo tea that received the first prize award at Huang Shan Excellent Product in 2005, and Shanghai National Tea Culture competition in 2006. It might not be long before Song Luo Nen Hao stands side-by-side with other An Hui’s great such as Huang Shan Mao Feng, Lu An Gua Pian and Tai Ping Hou Kui. This tea is certified organic by Xiu Ning District Quality Control Department. Other names: Song Luo Tender Pekoe, Lang Yuan Nen Hao, Lang Yuan Song Luo Nen Hao Taste: Refreshing fragrance and taste with a hint of olive note. It somewhat resembles Japanese green teas. You will love this tea if you like Sencha or Gyokuro. Appearance: The tea leaves are covered with white down and rolled into a narrow, needle-like shape with curvy ends.
